Following the publication of a study on the endocrine-disrupting abilities of a dozen fracking chemicals, as well as estrogen-and androgen-disrupting activity in water samples collected near fracking sites in Colorado, Steingraber appeals to her colleagues in the environmental health community to act. “This study also makes it clear for me that endocrine disruption is not solely a public health issue relevant to the materials economy.
