“There are a million things that suddenly you have to learn about, that you never thought about before, when you become a new parent. But for me that responsibility includes the evidence linking air pollution to premature birth, or mercury contamination in fish to learning disabilities. And I don’t really feel any sense of conflict between the joy of parenting and the responsibility of taking care of the environment.
